The Brumbies Junior Gold Cup Squad face a double-header this weekend when they meet Sydney Rays and Sydney Rams at Gungahlin Enclosed across what promises to be two action-packed days of rugby.
The team kicked off their campaign with a 20-20 draw at Macquarie University last weekend against a strong NSW Country Eagles side and will be looking to build on a performance that showed some promising signs.
The Junior Gold Cup underpins the Pathway to Gold – the ARU’s national talent development program.
The JGC exists to support the long-term development of potentially talented player in the U15 and U16 year groups through an accessible and nationally coordinated and consistent program delivered across Australia culminating in a competition program.
Whilst the program targets player development, it also seeks to provide important quality exposure and development opportunities to coaches nationwide.
Entry to matches on the weekend is free and all spectators are welcome to attend.
