ACT Prepared For Senior Sevens Challenge

The ACT Men’s and Women’s teams are set for the Rugby Championships Senior Sevens competition which will take place in Bendigo, Victoria across Saturday and Sunday this weekend.

Both squads will enter the tournament with hopes of being crowned Champions and will face stiff competition from around Australia with several sides in with a genuine chance of claiming the crown in what is sure to be an action-packed and explosive two days of rugby action.

ACT Men begin their challenge on Saturday morning with a clash against Western Australia followed quickly by further Pool C matches against Australian Defence Force RU and Northern Territory.

The Women’s section has been drawn in Pool B and begin their title tilt with a match against the National Indigenous Selection before concluding Pool play with fixtures against NSW Blue and Tasmania.

Depending on their Final pool placings, each squad will enter Sunday’s knockout phase hoping to be left standing come the conclusion of the day and bring back the coveted crown to Canberra.
